Getting Access to Health Care

Insurance Plans

Insurance and Billing

We accept most insurance plans, Please call or Email us for information specific to your insurance company and plan.

Payment Options

Whole Child believes that ability to pay should never be an obstacle to maintaining a child's health.  This is why we accept most insurance plans.  If you have health insurance, sometimes there will be a small co-pay, which we are required to collect at the time of service.  Under the Affordable Care Act, often no co-pay is required, especially for well visits.  We also proudly accept Medicaid.  For our patients who do not have health insurance, we provide vaccines free of charge through our participation in the Virginia Vaccine for Children program.

There is a small administrative fee per vaccine for this service.  In addition we are happy to work with you on options, including discounts and payment plans, to ensure that your child has equal access to the health care that he or she deserves.

Immunizations

Whole Child Pediatrics follows the immunization guidelines recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). For information about these vaccines and the diseases they protect against, please visit http://www.aap.org/healthtopics/immunizations.cfm

For detailed informational sheets published by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) please visit www.cdc.gov/vaccines/pubs/vis/

Our Vaccine Philosophy

Our practice believes that all children should receive the recommended vaccines according to the guidelines provided by the AAP and the CDC. Vaccines are safe and effective in preventing diseases and health complications in children and young adults. Regular vaccinations help children ward off infections, and are administered as one of the safest and best methods of disease prevention.

We are happy to discuss your concerns about vaccines at your child's next visit.
